Princess Mia's lazy day
Poor Princess Mia has had a fever, soar throat, and cough since last night. She hasn't done anything all day. Mom has been holding her. When McKay, Madi, and I left for school, Mom told me that Mia said, "I need my big sister to hold me!" When I got home from school, Mia was taking some medicine. I walked in and she quickly sipped the sticky, purple medicine. Some of you know that I don't take pills or medicine very well. Any way, I told my Mom, "Wow! She takes medicine a lot better than I do!" Mom answered with, "Do you expect me to be surprised about that?" Later, Madi and I went to practice the piano and Mia cried because she saw McKay walk by. She really wanted him to stay. She hasn't eaten very much, but when she did eat dinner, it looked like she felt a lot better. Most of her voice is gone. It is really sad to see her just laying there and not being her normal busy body.

What Little Girls and Boys are made of (as told by Whit)
On Friday, we did our Spring recital. Madi was so excited when, Wendi, our dance teacher, told them they could do a hip-hop dance. They also did a princess dance. They were both adorable! There are three dance groups. Madi is in the youngest group and I am in the oldest. Our dances had to do with fairies and & the 70's. It was really hard to find cloths for the 70's dance. I ended up just grabbing something and doing what I could with it. Both dances were so much fun! Thanks so much Wendi! You did great with the dances!
Good job and good luck, McKay!

Drama Queen
Is this a baby of the family issue, having older siblings that are over dramatic, or is this just her attitude inherited from her DAD! I had to laugh for a minute, as Mia got through her GiRlY moment. Of course we had to let the cat in for a minute so Mia could love her. This cat is so furry ....the hair is all over her after she has packed it around. She took the cat out and decide she would have a cookie. As she started eatting she started screaming. When I got over to her she was screaming about having cat hair on her hands (yes I washed her hands....you know me better than that!) Her dress was covered! I tossed the cookie and told her she needed to change. Now for the DRAMA... She took the dress off, folded her arms and said " I am done with this!" as she marched off! hmmm...I wonder where she has heard that little saying! She came back in a few minutes later with the infamous, "I don't have anything to wear!" I know that did not come from me!! And then the tears! Again she came out this time with her favorite peace of PINK fabric Grandma T. loaned her (which is actually red, but red is the new pink out our house, when pink is not available!) Anyway she said she wanted to wear it. I tied it on her, but she asked if she needed a shirt with it. I was thinking it was a dress up attire, but no she was wearing it to baseball. I mentioned that it needed to be sewn into a dress first. She took it off and said "you can sew it fast mom!" (yet again....you know me better than that!) After having a good cry and searching in the laundry, she discovered a dress that would be suitable for PRINCESS MIA!
Oh I love girl moments.

Snug PJ's
Carrie handed down these nice warm p.j.'s to Mia. Madi had to see if she could fit in them. She was so excited when she was able to get them on. She could hardly stand up straight, but she was sure she wanted to sleep in them, no she didn't make it to her bed even. The seams were popping as she moved.
Another funny Madi statement: She has been pro on the wii bowling for some time now, but for some reason she has lost that high standing. She was so upset one night she asked if I could please get her started so she could get her PRO back. I wouldn't let her that late at night, so she consented to wait until morning. Early that morning she went and asked Whit to help her get started. Her exact statement was, " Mia we have to go down and bowl, so I can get my PRO and earn my dignity back!" WHAT! Where are these words coming from! What a personality:)
Easter Egg Fun!
On Thursday, Russ, Megan, Wes and some of Chet's famliy came and colored Easter eggs. Mia colored more than half of our eggs...PINK! And only pink. All together, we had seventeen kids in our basement coloring eggs. Big surprise...we had no spills! Russ and Wes played baseball/golf on the WII most of the time. They had lots of fun. Funny to have to remind Dads they have to do chores! It is nice to see them relaxing once in a while! I hear there was a lot of TrAsH talk going on!
Mia with a few eggs from the carton that she colored.
(As you can see, PINK!)
